This isn’t actually the first snow of the season. The first snow came over a month ago and melted promptly . This was the first snow that stuck around long enough for me to get a few pictures with it.

I haven’t bought clothes from HotTopic in years, but it used to be one of my favorite stores. This dress was one of my first major purchases. ($40 at the time was a lot) I was fifteen and so excited to get this adorable red plaid dress with . . . wait for it . . . pockets! I grew up on second hand clothes and then I reach my teens and got a job, so I carefully began to purchase my own pieces for my closet. I had a lot of plaid to say the least.

I love when a piece lasts for over ten years. I have a hard time getting rid of clothing, I normally miss it after it’s gone, but I go through phases where I ditch anything I don’t wear or doesn’t fit. Somehow, through all my purging, this dress has stood the test of time. Even now, it holds the memories of too many teenage nights for me to be willing to part ways;.
