I love this dress so much that I bought it in two colors. The green one (seen here) is my favorite, but the black has served me well over the years. This dress, like many of my purchases, goes through a trial and error period; it takes several attempts before I’m satisfied with how it pairs together with my other pieces. This often means it goes unworn for weeks or even months. With this dress, it shouldn’t have seemed so difficult. Besides, it doesn’t need much, but maybe that was my problem. I was always trying to improve something that just needed to be allowed to shine on its own. I’m sure there’s a metaphor in there somewhere.
