Lace by the Library’s Side

Outfit Details: Pastry Shopping Dress & From the Same Cloth Boots (Modcloth) Shirt (Kohl’s) Long sleeves (Belgium) Green Blazer (gift) Necklace (made by me)

There are a couple of things I really love about this outfit. One is that it consists of pieces I’ve owned for years and, despite the way my body shape has changed, it still manages to fit just right. Second? The lace, oh the lace.

I’m a sucker for lace and there are days when it’s all I want to wear. I bought this lacey piece specifically to wear to my sister’s bridal shower – some five years back. The top was purchased back in High School when Avril Lavine had a line at Kohls. The long black sleeves were a gift I got when I lived in Belgium and have managed to survive ten years in almost perfect shape.

I’ve been keeping busy, I’m still full time at my job – but working from home. While everyone else seems to be struggling with boredom, I find time goes too fast – as always. I’m looking forward to summer, – to days spent outside by the beach or perhaps in the shade of trees. I’m looking forward to times where it’s not about moving forward, but about living in that exact moment. I’ll stop getting sappy.

Happy Wednesday!
