Red Picnic Tables

It was getting close to sunset and I’m second guessing whether or not I can find a spot before the light goes. I end up at a small public landing half an hour away from home, it’s deserted on a Saturday evening except for an empty car, its owner pursuing a walk. My hands turn pink quickly from the cold, but I embrace it. I twirl and smile and stumble out of my camera’s frame many times.

I love this shirt. Autumn colors are my tones and I’m learning to accept it and just buy all the things in these shades. The necklace I’m wearing was a gift and reads, “A book is a dream that you hold in your hands.” Even fi you dont’t know much about me, you should know how much I believe those words.

Last year, I lost my books, not literally. But I had migraines every day and I couldn’t do much more than sleep as I waited for the pain to fade. Reading was out of the question. I’m happy to say that my migraines are much better, mostly due to my neurologist – who offered his time and to listen to me so we could find the best treatment that works for me. I’ve mentioned some negative experiences I’ve had with doctors in the past, but those experiences make me even more apprecitive of finding doctors who listen and care. They’re out there and never be afraid to get a second opinion.

Hope you’re all doing well and keep safe in these crazy days,
