I want my outfits to tell a story. The beautiful backgrounds are meant to set the pace and outfits are the details. I wandered out for one of the first big snows of the season and I wandered here – my little harbor. I wore heels too high for walking on ice-covered snow but managed never to fall. I managed to not feel too ridiculous as strangers walked by as I smiled at an unmanned camera and hands turned pink from the cold.

I’ve been searching for the perfect red lip and I think I’ve finally found it. There is something I love about red lips and snowy backgrounds. It’s probably the play on colors, the sudden pop of red against white. I sound like I’m describing Snow White.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I got to spend mine reunited with my whole family – a rare and beautiful thing and I couldn’t be more grateful.
