Have you ever climbed a mountain just for outfit photos? No? Okay.

This was the first place I stood after having moved to Maine, the original story, where I knew I had chosen the right place. The mountains had swelled around me and the wind roughed my hair and I felt a stillness that is hard to compare. Then I had to race down the mountainside because I was going to be late for work. But that was years ago.

I’ve climbed this mountain a couple of times since then and even when the path’s a little rougher than I expect, I reach the top and sigh.

I think we all need little places like this and I don’t mind sharing one of mine.
